This practical course will enable participants to understand what is required to develop a monitoring and evaluation system that will really work. The course covers a range of topics including:

Selecting outcomes and indicators

Organisational structures

Human capacity for monitoring and evaluation

Monitoring and evaluation partnerships

Developing a costed M&E plan

Advocacy and communications

Surveys and surveillance

Routine programme monitoring

Data auditing and supervision

M&E infomation systems

Research and Evaluation

Using information to improve results

PCMi Limited is a Registered Education Provider with the Project Management Institute. This course will provide 28 Professional Development Units (PDUs) to any participant who holds a relevant PMI credential.

Course accreditation and prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course however most participants are already working in a monitoring and evaluation capacity or expect to be in the near future.

The course is accredited by the International Academy for Monitoring and Evaluation and you will receive certification on completion. This course also provides a progression route to the Monitoring and Evaluation Advanced Diploma Award.
